A feature-length documentary based on the best-selling books by author Douglas Coupland, released theatrically by Maple Pictures.

Souvenir of Canada weaves a cinematic tapestry of original footage, extraordinary archives and stylized animation, inspired by Coupland’s essays. The film also profiles Coupland as an artist, as he creates an elaborate installation project called Canada House in Vancouver.

“It’s never felt as different to be Canadian as it does right now,” asserts Coupland, who describes the project as “a very personal X-ray of Canada.”

A co-production with The National Film Board of Canada.
