CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON is an interactive television series that redefines what it means to be smart. We’ll shatter the myth that to be smart you need to have a high IQ, be a math whiz or trivia buff.

Hosted by Jessi Cruickshank, every week six new hopefuls battle it out in front of a live studio audience in six categories of smarts: musical, physical, social, logical, visual and linguistic. In the series finale five finalists will go head to head to earn the title of Canada’s Smartest Person. It’s a whole new way of looking at smarts!

The Summit

Media Headquarters partners with acclaimed writer John Krizanc to create the controversial and uncompromising two-part miniseries The Summit. As massive preparations for the G8 Summit are underway, Canadian Prime Minister and Summit host Adderly (Bruce Greenwood) and U.S. President Aimes (Christopher Plummer) must race against time to prevent an outbreak that will threaten the future of the western world. The all-star cast also includes James Purefoy, Wendy Crewson, Rachelle Lefevre, Mia Maestro, Stephen McHattie, and Lisa Ray.

Media Headquarters would like to congratulate writer John Krizanc on his win of the WGC Screenwriting Award for Best MOW or Mini-Series for his work on THE SUMMIT. The WGC awards were held last night in Toronto where Krizanc accepted this honour.

THE SUMMIT is a Media Headquarters and Shaftesbury Production produced in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canwest Global and Power Corporation with the participation of The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, the COGECO Program Development Fund and the Nickel Basin Federal Development Corporation, and with the assistance of the Canadian Film or Video Production Credit and the Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit.

Media Headquarters is pleased to announce a new partnership with Law & Order Executive Producer Rene Balcer. Mr. Balcer joins an award winning team working to bring Howard Shrier’s novel Buffalo Jump to the small screen.

Currently in development, Media Headquarters’ dramatic series will follow the antics of private eye Jonah Geller and his investigative firm World Repairs.

Sales agent Picture Box distribution has secured sales of OUTLAW IN-LAWS on behalf of Media Headquarters to MTV Oy (Finland), Talit Communications (Israel) and Q Channel (Korea).

OUTLAW IN-LAWS is a groundbreaking series that sheds light on what is clearly a nation-wide problem: conflicts with the in-laws. When your in-laws are driving you up the wall and the tension is too much to bear, now there’s finally help. Internationally renowned advice expert Ellie Tesher visits families torn apart by in-laws fighting and gets them back on track.

Swedish broadcaster TV4 has licensed MODERN LOVE, along with Australia’s Foxtel and Israel’s Noga.
