SOUVENIR OF CANADA will be released on DVD on September 26, 2006 and will broadcast on CBC-TV in Spring, 2007.
The film joins internationally celebrated author Douglas Coupland (Generation X, jPod) on a journey to find out what makes Canadians, Canadian.
Media Headquarters has partnered with distributor Maple Pictures for the national theatrical release and DVD campaign for SOUVENIR OF CANADA, a feature documentary based on the bestselling books by celebrated author Douglas Coupland.
In partnership with co-producer The National Film Board of Canada, Maple Pictures will release the picture nationally on May 26, 2006 in cities across Canada. A DVD release will follow on September 26, 2006.
Media Headquarters Film & Television is happy to announce that its documentary feature SOUVENIR OF CANADA, which stars Douglas Coupland and is based on the author’s bestselling books, will have its U.S. premiere at the prestigious 12th U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, March 8-12. By special invitation, celebrated author Coupland will attend the festival as guest Director. The only Canadian feature-length film to be selected to USCAF this year, SOUVENIR OF CANADA will be presented in USCAF’s Feature Length Documentary Competition series.
In SOUVENIR OF CANADA, Couple (Generation X) becomes a post-modern tour guide, sharing his deeply personal portrait of his homeland. The film is produced by Media Headquarters in co-production with the National Film Board of Canada, in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The program uses cutting edge CGI technology to animate polar bears’ mouths and faces, allowing viewers to experience their remarkable lives from a fascinating new perspective – that of the polar bears themselves. THE GREAT POLAR BEAR ADVENTURE is an international production with broadcasters CBC, France 3, DCI and SRC.
